I’m currently wending my way back from Brooklyn, where I just finished the most recent installment of my radio show, which you can listen to here:

The idea is to put secure bike parking facilities like the one above all over New York City, which would have helped me considerably back when I lost my cockpit:

My mistake here was tempting thieves with a Thomson stem. Incidentally, I’m 0 for 2 with Thomson stems, considering my other one cracked at the faceplate. Since then, I’ve learned an important lesson:
Don’t use Thomson stems.
In a way they’re the Chris King headset of stems, and I don’t mean that as a compliment.
Having said that, I shall now add another notch in the bike counter and resume my trip back to upstate New York City.
